Visual proof that policy has real impacts: You can never outsmart the laws of economics

I came across this graphic in The Australian yesterday (its' not found in the online edition). Leaving aside the discussion of its underlying policy, we see though the diagram DRAMATIC visual evidence of how different policy regimes can have dramatically different impacts.

The GOOD POLICY outlined in BFN will have similar DRAMATIC impacts on India's governance at all levels if it is implemented. Like something that is "opened" and "shut". Such is the stark difference between policies I propose and what has happened in India since the past 60 years (on top of that, we now have half-baked "experts" – NAC – and "civil society" – IAC – offering totally irrelevant "solutions"). Enjoy the worst policies in the world, India. You are an excellent example of what NOT to do.

PS: The behaviour of people-smugglers to Australia can be ENTIRELY predicted based on a basic understanding of economics.

Addendum

The Rudd / Gillard folly
