Regardless of anything he may have done, Modi’s candidature for PM of India has strongly polarised the country

I suspect that in a first past the post system, merely getting 35 per cent or so of the votes is enough to win. BJP has probably calculated that (particularly with Swami Ramdev's support) it can get this percentage practically all over the country. And that is probably right.

But by nominating a person who is still not considered innocent by a good proportion of Indians, BJP has once again sought to polarise India.

I gather there is a big rally being for Modi being organised for 29 September in Delhi. I suppose this will be a big success.

But two things are of concern.

a) The increasing radicalisation of Indian Muslims (see Tavleen Singh's article), and

b) The massive opposition to Modi of Muslim religious leaders (videos below).

Majority of Indians ‘know’ Modi is Innocent and also a great leader.

Country has ALWAYS been polarised, Hindus are wisening up to this FACT now, that is all.

I am a Hindu, I do not care what Muslims think about Modi and I am deeply offended by pseudo secularist parties as well as people like you who instinctively blame the Hindu population for a lot of the problems this country faces even though the problems are caused by muzzies and xtians, the paid media (which somehow you never speak about probably because choose your enemies so i.e do not bark or bite people who can respond in kind) and other assorted collectivists and also obnoxious, obsessed, neurotic pyromaniacs like you and I AM GOING TO CAST MY VOTE ACCORDINGLY.
