Educated Indians and socialists celebrate the murder of 5,600,000 children in India EACH year
Continuing my rage, let me note that of the 217 million undernourished people in India (see this), "India contributes to about 5.6 million child deaths every year, more than half the world's total."
And so, EACH YEAR, while our educated classes boast about "India Shining" and brag about how great India is (no longer a Third World nation, apparently), and how important it is to impose particular ideas (e.g, Hindutva/ yogic) on the whole country, and how great India's past was, 56 lakh children DIE in this great India of ours.
These children never got to hear about how great India was, or is. They never got to attend IITs at government expense and become multi-billionaires who then – instead of fighting misgovernance – suck up to the most corrupt rascals that India can find. These children never got to even eat basic minimum food! Forget education.
And yet each year, at least on the internet and our newspapers and magazines, our HIGHLY "EDUCATED" Indians boast and rant about how great India was, and is.
Sure, please celebrate the MURDER of 56 lakh children. That's what our education system has taught you.
Sure, please support corrupt socialists daily through your acts and deeds, for didn't we teach you to discard even most elementary ethics and humanity.
Sure, please go ahead and defy good principles of ethical governance that I've shown in BFN – and have been talking about for nearly 13 years now .
Sure, please go on. Carry on your regular MURDER, ever year, as usual. Good job. Kill even as you boast about India. That's just what you have been trained for by the socialists. India's famous socialists would have loved your work.

Major fault lies with parents who decide to have these kids, without thinking as to how they will be provided for….
…….If you think you don't have sufficient resources to sustain kids, don't have them!!
MY RESPONSE:
Unfortunately, why children die has LITTLE to do with the ability of their parents to rear them. It has everything to do with mis-governance by socialists including the absence of an effective social insurance scheme.
The fact that parents have so many children is a RATIONAL response of parents to the distressing options they have for their own survival. In BFN I explain why, and also show that the moment government becomes more free, population plummets.
A basic understanding of economics and population issues, in addition to the philosophy of classical liberalism and its theory of governance, would be useful. Please do read BFN and even though it is still a draft, DOF (these are my two books – links on my blog).

Sir, just scanned through BFN.
On preliminary analysis, it is a very well written book and addresses key questions I had in mind.
Will study it more throughly whenever possible.
As of now, if you can succinctly put across the reason as to why having more children is rational under socialism,it should be sufficient.
….And maybe the reference chapter in Book…..

Sadly..it's a shame that so many kids are dying everyday and yet fools go on preaching how great India is. It was great many centuries ago and not anymore. It needs to attain that greatness.
I was discussing with mom,who is a Doctor about this blog post and i found very shocking things! She believes that India is not poor and our population growth is the reason of our poverty which is absolutely wrong….worse..she went on to compare poverty in the U.S.A and third world India. I tried by best explaining to her but education with socialism has misled her.
The disease of socialism is so deeply embedded among most Indians that it will take great effort to fight this evil. The day we completely remove socialism will be the greatest day for India.
This post should be shared by all Indians who claim India to be "rich".

The biggest creator and sustainer of poverty in india is socialism and/or govt intervention in economic activity/freedom. For a prosperous , free and secure india we need free markets. There is no other way. It is frustrating to me that after the fall of soviet union people in india still want more socialism.
