Moving from Blogger to own domain
Dear visitor from cyberspace
I've faced frustrations in the last few months with Blogger's very poor formatting capabilities. Instead of wasting time by posting on Blogger and wrestling with its hopeless formatting features, I've decided to move to my own domain. I think I've undertaken 95% of the move now, and hopefully transferred all my previous posts and comments.
More problematic are things like RSS feeds and Friend Connect. I was totally ignorant about such things till some time ago, never even using an RSS reader but preferring to subscribe to just one blog (Shantanu's) by email, but slowly I've learnt a bit. The question is whether my old 'feeds' have transferred correctly. If not then this message will reach no one. So be it. I've spent an enormous amount of time (nearly 8 hours) in figuring out how to transfer the blogger blog, and can't afford to lose more time on this!
So if you are seeing this then the good news for me is that I've transferred this 'reasonably well'. If not, then I guess you'll have to re-subscribe to my 'feeds' or become a 'friend' on google connect – if and ever you find out that I've moved!
So this is it, then. I've now formally moved and look forward to your comments on this new blog location.
Btw, if you have indeed received notification of this post, please do take the time to comment. I'd be much reassured.
Regards
Sanjeev
PS. Over the next few months, when I find time, I'll fix the formatting problems that were typical of my Blogger posts, but which I know that WordPress handles beautifully.

Thanks a lot, Bill! However, from my Feedburner records I’ve lost most of my ‘readers’. I clearly messed up some setting, I’m sure. Not easy to figure out all these details in a hurry.
Thanks a lot for the post on Moving from Blogger to own domain. This is very helpful.
