    Mr. Sanjeev Sabhlok,
    Here’s a complex question that I hope you can shed some light on.
    (I’ve been trying to look for data but can’t get a proper picture)
    Many developing countries(India, China included)actually subsidize their agriculture per ton of grain more heavily than developed countries like USA, Holland…
    (The only developing/developed countries exception respectively probably are Brazil/Japan..)
    It seems to me, due to low productivity(like low yield,lack of mechanization, agri-tech..), India grain production cost/ton is higher, with or without taken into account indirect subsidies, like irrigation project, free electricity..
    Indian farmers have been complaining low govt procurement price.
    Can you show some related data like Indian production cost of various grain, govt procurement price…, comparing to those of USA, say ?
