Modi’s 5 years wasted – and the country divided. A report card.
This is a placeholder post where I’ll compile material that’s being shared across social media by various people to discuss Modi’s performance (or rather, the lack of it).
This is just the beginning. The amount of anti-Modi content circulating on social media today is to be seen to be believed. I’ll continue to compile here as I come across more info.
Five years ago social media was abuzz with a frenzy of BJP “warriors” who would attack, even threaten death to those who spoke against Modi. I myself received death threats (which had to be reported to the police). But today the BJP fanatics are silent. They are resorting to violence to silence those who oppose BJP. But they can’t stop the fact that India is rejecting Modi en-masse. Millions of people who thought that something good will happen for them have been left wondering how this man could waste five years and produce so little.
Without doubt, Modi has been India’s worst Prime Minister since independence. A coalition government will be far preferable to the anti-national BJP government.
Demonetisation was such a huge fiasco that Modi has ENTIRELY stopped talking about it.As Lincoln said: “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
