Wonderful news: Maharashtra plans to allow PRIVATE FOR-PROFIT SCHOOLS to be established!

James Tooley’s research has shown that India (among other similarly placed Third World nations) has thousands of low cost for profit schools.

Now the great news:

In the amendments to the Maharashtra Self-Financed Schools (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2012, the government has proposed to add ‘any registered company’ along with ‘any registered trust’ in Section 3(5). [Source]
