A happy new year to everyone – and a call for 50 more SBP candidates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections
I had a long chat over phone to discuss progress in Bhadohi. As some of you who are following SBP’s Facebook page already know, some truly fantastic work is going on, and much more is planned in the new year.
I thereafter sent out this message to some people – this message is actually meant for everyone, so I’m putting it out to this blog’s readers:
I note that some of you are not happy with BJP’s rabid communalism and stoking of hatreds across India.
I’d like to update that after putting in just a couple of months of effort on the ground in some 2019 Lok Sabha constituencies, we are starting to get a very good response from people, and are now starting to prepare booth level organisation in one of the constituencies.
I think it is now high time for anyone else who is able, to step forward as SBP candidate for 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The Indian voter is generally averse to voting for parties that don’t put out a large number of candidates. I am concerned that the good work being done in a few constituencies will not achieve its potential unless the party can put out at least another 50-odd candidates.
From grassroots reports, it is clear that the people are ready. BJP is on the defensive but people aren’t seeing any serious alternatives. Congress is not an alternative, but more of the same.
SBP will become a major party, sooner or later. But this requires people standing up and being counted.
Each of you can step forward and make a difference. So please do so. It is not good enough to simply air your grievances here and there. We need people on the ground willing to spread the message of liberty across India.
If you want real change, you have to put in effort. I have helped create a platform – at great personal cost and time. Now it is up to the country to join this platform and lead.
Please write to email@example.com if you are interested in constesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections under SBP’s banner.
A happy new year to you all, and hope that this year you actually DO something about liberalism instead of merely thinking/ writing about it.
