One-stop shop to make India 20 times richer

India’s ease of doing business is going to remain at the bottom of the world without radical governance reforms

Some people are talking big about the recent 100th rank of India in the Ease of Doing Business indicator.

My comment:

That’s a positive step, but 100th is just too pathetic a position. India needs massive governance reforms but there is not a single person in India who understands even the basics of governance.

So India will continue to remain one of the worst places in the world to do business. A bit pointless, really, there’s hardly any difference between 100 and 130 – the bottom of the heap.

Further, regarding the South Asia World Bank guy who is making big noises about this, my comment:

100th is just too pathetic a position. India needs governance reforms but the World Bank is populated by idiots who don’t understand any of that.
