There’s 30,000 crore rupees to be made from cow beef in India. Vultures like BJP invent ways to get hold of it.
Following on from my post here, I made a very crude estimate (do not cite it without rigorous verification: this is just a ballpark, back of the envelope calculation).
There are 281,700,000 cows in India [Source]
The lifespan of a cow is 15 years => 1/15 die each year = 18.8 million
Weight of an average Indian cow: 300 kilos [Source]
If the wholesale price of a kilo of cow meat is Rs.50 (a rock-bottom price, I think), this is equivalent to Rs.28,000 crore rupees.
Plus, of course, many more cow die/ are killed. So the total value of COW beef is therefore at least Rs.30,000 crores. Surely, this is just too tempting to just bury into the ground!
Particularly for the gangsters who rule India. Like BJP’s Sangeet Som.
Deception, lies and killing are just a minor price for the spoils of beef. One won’t get caught under the TOTALLY corrupt Indian system (pay off inspectors, pay off the police, pay off the judges).
Absolutely! Sanjeev, I think few could have put it better. Thank you.
