Two down out of 10, already. Armen Alchian is dead. Great loss to economics.
Shocking that within such a short time two of the 10 world's top economists in my list published barely six months ago have died.
Armen Alchian. One of the greatest thinkers on property rights.
One of greatest papers every written was this: "Uncertainty, Evolution and Economic Theory," Journal of Political Economy 58: 211-21. Please read if you've not yet read it. One of the best ever.
